The Old Market is screening a triple bill of movies starring Daniel Day-Lewis. The second of these, the epic historical drama The Last of the Mohicans (1992), is probably the closest filmgoers will ever get to see the actor in an action film. Directed by Michael Mann, it is set in 1757 during the French and Indian War, with Day-Lewis playing legendary frontiersman Hawkeye, a white orphaned settler adopted by native tribe the Mohicans, who falls in love with a British army officer’s daughter (Madeleine Stowe) after she is kidnapped.
