Award-winning television programme maker David Parker spent 12 months filming the rebuilding of perhaps the most famous steam locomotive of them all: The Flying Scotsman. In this illustrated talk, David will show clips from programmes he has made about both Flying Scotsman and steam railways in Britain, a celebration of the men and women who saved some of the country’s most picturesque branch lines and the steam engines that run on them. It includes rare film of the steam engines, including The Flying Scotsman. This event is part of Shoreham Wordfest 2018.
