SuRie: Eurovision Unplugged

Belly

Belly, formed in 1991, earned two Grammy nominations with their first album Star, which sold nearly two million copies worldwide. The band split in 1995 and reformed for a limited tour in 2016. They are now recording their next album, partnering with Pledge Music to release it, and will soon release a digital download of their cover of Hush-a-Bye Mountain.

Johnny Cash Roadshow

The Johnny Cash Roadshow, the only show endorsed by the Cash family, is a tribute to the music legend Johnny Cash, with singer-songwriter Clive John recreating the sound of the singer and Amanda Stone as June Carter. Hits include Ring of Fire, Walk The Line and Help Me Make It Through The Night. Caitlin Crowell, granddaughter of Johnny and June, says, “I sincerely believe there is an art form to tributing but this was absolutely authentic to the point where it felt it wasn’t a tribute, per se, it was a rock’n’roll gig! Given by some sincere rock’n’rollers! I am a fan.”

Marti Pellow

Singer Marti Pellow was the lead singer in Wet Wet Wet, the Scottish band that had a huge No1 hit with their version of Love Is All Around, which spent 15 weeks at the top of the charts after it was used on the soundtrack to the 1994 film Four Weddings and a Funeral. He quit the band last year. Marti has become a leading musical theatre star, performing from Broadway to Tokyo with a series of starring roles in London’s West End., and  as a solo artist, he has released a series of albums, the latest, called Mysterious, was out last year.

Richard Durrant’s Stringhenge

Pop superstar Lionel Richie (pictured above, left) has announced this concert in Hove, performing his greatest hits from his days with 70s funk/soul band The Commodores and as a solo artist, including Lady, Truly, Dancing on the Ceiling, Say You Say Me, Hello, which reached No1 in the UK, and All Night Long. His support act has been announced as former Westlife star Shane Filan (pictured above, right), now solo after scoring 14 No1 hits, 11 top 5 albums and more than 50 million records sold worldwide before the band split in 2012.
