As this Dog Show returns to The Kennels and the Duchess’s Paddock, there will be several activities for owners and their dogs, plus a chance to treat your dog to some doggy ice cream. Show classes include Best Puppy, Veterans, Junior Handler up to 16 years, Best Pedigree, Prettiest Bitch and Best in Show. The Fun Classes include Best Trick, Fancy Dress, Most Like Owner, Waggiest Tail, Dog Judge Would Like To Take Home and Most Handsome Dog.

Wildfires Festival

Wildfires is a festival that brings communities together from around the country and the globe to experience God’s presence. During the three days, participants spend time together partying, praying, worshipping, growing in community and welcoming the Spirit into their midst. Spaces are devoted to delving deeper into the heart of who we are and who God is, with children and youth work prioritised. There’s a Wildfires camping village with communal areas and marquees, and participants have access to the Big Church Day Out South on May 26 and 27.

Grow Your Own – Children’s Holiday Activity

In this fun activity day for half-term, take home a beautiful homemade vegetable garden from this workshop at Tuppenny Barn, a community project promoting sustainable working practices. Led by its education officer Abi, children aged six and above will learn what it takes to be an organic gardener, make their own scarecrows to scare off pests, participate in seasonal cooking and plant their own vegetable garden to take home. Children will need a packed lunch plus indoor and outdoor clothing/footwear for all weathers.
